How does managed-key billing work?
Paid tiers route managed-key traffic at provider cost plus a flat 4% gateway fee. No token allotments, no overage rates. The 4% covers unified billing, routing across 45+ models, provider key rotation, and full receipts — one invoice instead of eight.
Can I bring my own keys?
Yes — on every tier, including Free. Full routing, receipts, dashboard, and OTel export either way. BYOK carries zero token markup. Free and Team have a fair-use request quota; Business and Scale are unlimited.
Are there token limits or overage charges?
No. Managed-key tokens are charged at provider cost + 4% with no allotment cap, so there’s nothing to overflow into overage. The only quota on the platform is the BYOK fair-use request count on Free and Team — a guardrail against abusive load on the routing infrastructure, not a metering scheme.
What about Free tier spillover?
Free tier is BYOK with a 100K request / month fair-use quota plus a $5 one-time managed-key trial credit. Once trial credit is spent you can add pay-as-you-go managed credit (provider cost + 4%) or upgrade to Team.
